That PIPn Kind of Love

Think of last time that someone gave you a compliment; I mean like a real sincere compliment, whether it was about your hair, your outfit or telling you what a great job you did on a certain project.

Remember how that made you feel?

Think of the last time someone did something nice for you, when maybe they didn’t have to. Did they hold a door open for you when it was raining? Pay for your coffee? Surprise you with a FaceTime date when you had a rough day or while you’re out of town? Leave you a hand written note wishing you the #BestDayEver?

Remember how that made you feel?

Now, think of the last time that someone told you how thankful they were for you, how grateful they were to have you in their corner or how much they appreciate your help or your willingness to be their person or their sounding board.

Remember how that made you feel?

Those feelings that you just felt, all over again, even after the moment has passed, that’s the reason that we love PIP and the reason that we choose to live this lifestyle every day. PIPn impacts and affects people long after the moment has passed or the day is over.

The feelings a person has when they’ve been PIPd never go away.

As avid PIPers we make it a point to spread love and goodness as thick as we would spread Nutella, because we realize what a difference it can make in someone’s day, week, month or year. And the great thing about PIPn?

PIPn doesn’t cost you a single thing.

Let me elaborate.

Okay, yea, so you decided to pay for the person behind you at the drive through and they ordered 4 Trinta Double Whip Latte’s with an Extra Shot…but did you look through your rearview mirror and catch them frantically waving “thank you” and smiling from ear to ear?

You had to pay for the postage when you sent a card to someone in the mail…but remember that huge, good, two-armed hug they wrapped you in the next time they saw you because that little card made their not-so-awesome day a bazillion times better?

You held the door open for the person walking behind you when it was raining and you got stuck outside a little bit…but remember the smile and most sincere “thank you” they gave you?

PIPn pays YOU. Because just as awesome as it feels to be PIPd, it feels even more amazing, rejuvenating and rewarding when you do the PIPn.

That’s why we choose to spread love through PIP. Every day. Every month. Every year. It’s a lifestyle.

One of my most favorite quotes from one of the nicest, funniest gals on TV, Ellen DeGeneres,

“I have to say, it’s a little strange to actually get an award for being nice and generous and kind which is what we’re all supposed to do with one another. That’s the point of being a human.”

We wanna know how YOU #PIP! Spread some PIPn goodness this month and snap a picture of it or yourself, tag us in your pic on Instagram so we can share and re-post your story. Anyone who shares their #PIP story with us by February 29th will be entered to win some fun products and Neatbeat swag!

August 22 is here!

Good Vibrations Blog Healthy Living Inspiration

I am so excited for tomorrow. If you remember my blog about 3 months ago, Join us until August 22, Dani, Sam and I let the world know (so we couldn’t turn back) that we were committing to an intense three month workout regimen.

Day 1
Day 1

I hadn’t worked out consistently in about three years and had no endurance or stamina AT ALL. I was also super nervous about committing to this new schedule four days a week at 7:30 am, but I put it in my calendar. We all took off work for August 22 and said we would reward ourselves on that day for all of our hard work… all the while enjoying our pretty, strong bodies!

Day 120

We did our last 7:30 am workout this morning and tomorrow we will go to my FAVORITE class in the world: Power Hour. Then we have plans to do brunch at Wild Eggs, spend the rest of the day at Woodhaven pool to relax, have fun, and eat whatever and whenever we want.

So Much Fun

This experience with my beautiful friends has been so stinking fun. The coolest part is we all stuck through to the end and what started out as a 4 day a week commitment shifted at about week 5 to a 6 day a week commitment. We became obsessed with the gym and running that they became a top priority in all of our lives. We have never been stronger or felt as fantastic about the way we look… probably in our entire lives.

The night of our Partaaaay! See that gash on Danis right leg? She cracked it on box jumps one day… we were down a man that work out!
Ready, Set, GO!

I encourage you to find a group of girls who wants to dedicate to a change. Start small and then grow with your workouts and how often you’re training. When a woman is happy with the way she looks, she can do anything. I want everyone to feel the way the three of us feel now. A sense of accomplishment and pride fulfills us.

I know we can all relate to this topic. There isn’t enough time in the day, you have way too much on your plate and at some point your about as useful as wet socks. And still, for some reason we keep  piling it on! Picking the kids up from football, staying late after work to do extra (whatever, you can fill that spot in), going to meetings, doing laundry and before you know it your heads spinning off and your screaming at your husband who may or may not have had anything to do with the overload…:)

Not cool.cba4bdc2764603ee8d41052fb7b7b804.

There are two phrases that basically changed a lot for me when I heard them! For so many of us, it is hhhharrddd to say no, but at many times it is so very necessary, especially when it comes to children.

That doesn’t work for me.

It’s as simple as that. Ever been in a debate with your kid, husband, parents, co worker, boss, manager, etc. and you are really really not feeling it? We are so scared to flat out say “no” sometimes that we end up caving in and then we lose our best self because we didn’t want to be doing it in the first place. This sounds softer than “no” but also lets the other party know that clearly, it’s a no go from you.

I can’t/won’t accept that.

Excuses. Excuses. Excuses This phrase is great for these, or what could also be known as reasons. Depending on how upset you are you use the can’t or won’t. Can’t= not super upset just not accepting their reason/excuse. Won’t= that’s ridiculous for even saying that and I won’t accept it!

I typically don’t blog on topics like this, I like to focus on positive and inspirational messages that are all about PIP (Positively Impacting People) but I know our Groupie readers and anyone else out there faces strong conversations, sometimes every day. It’s how we grow, learn and become fulfilled and satisfied all the way down to our gut. Those are the nights where you get the good sleep!

This guy ^^^, is the author of The 7 habits of highly effective people, he knows what he’s talking about!

When you are CONSTANTLY saying yes, and giving every last drop of you, there is nothing left for yourself. I have gotten pretty good at this in the last year and a half and it was so good for my soul. Saying these two sentences aren’t a bad thing, it helps you be the best mom, dad, worker, friend, daughter or son because you get to choose what you can handle and what you know you can’t!

And if my suggestions don’t help you, you could

just resort to this guy up here^

I hope this helped so many of you have two small resources in your back pocket for sticky conversations, use them
to your advantage!

I had no clue lemons did this.

One of my fun guests Leigh sent me an article this week that I felt was so worthy for a Good Vibrations blog post. It’s gonna be short and sweet!

The articles is about the healing power in lemons!! I have always known that lemons were good for you but I had no idea what they could do for your body.

You can grab some lemons from the grocery, wash them and throw them in your freezer. Once the lemon is frozen get a grater and shred the lemon, including the peel! Put the “seasoning” on top of your foods, like salads, ice cream, vegetables or meat.

Here is what I find so interesting, the actual lemon peel contains 5 to 10 times more vitamins than the lemon juice itself. It says that the lemon peels are health rejuvenators and flush out harmful toxins in the body. It is 10,00 times stronger than chemotherapy. When I saw that, I was so surprised and couldn’t wait to share it with people, ya never know, it could save a life!

The lemon tree is known for its varieties in lemons and limes, you can eat the pulp, juice press, prepare drinks, sorbets and pastries. Its credited with many  helpful attributes but the most interesting is its affects on tumors and cysts. It is a proven remedies against all cancer types…..!!!!

Lemons fight bacterial infections and fungi, affective against parasites and worms, it can regulate blood pressure and helps with depression, stress and nervous disorders. Lol this kind of makes me giggle to think one little fruit like a lemon can do all this.

This source of this information comes from one of the largest drug manufacturers in the world. After 20 laboratory tests since 1970, the extracts revealed that it destroys malignant cells in 12 cancers including colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreas…..completely fascinating.

Lastly the compounds of the Lemon tree show 10,000 times better than the product Adriamycin, a drug normally used in the chemotherapeutic world, slowing the growth of cancer cells.

I found this so interesting and hope you pass this along to a friend. Just copy and paste the link in the URL bar and send to a friend!
